If you feel you need to see a GP urgently when the practice is closed(evenings, nights and weekends), an emergency doctor service is provided by NHS Lincolnshire. Call the practice on the usual number (01673 843556) and you will be transferred to the out of hours provider.
The out of hours service will ask for your name, address, phone number, the name of your GP and any medication you are currently taking. A nurse advisor will assess your symptoms and give practical advice on what to do next. In an emergency, dial 999 and ask for an ambulance or go to casualty. If you’re not sure what to do, contact NHS Direct.
If you need medical advice call NHS Direct on 111 or via their website: www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk
For people with hearing or speech difficulties textphone 0845 606 46 47. This service is available 24 hours a day and is commissioned by the NHS.
