Advice about all forms of contraception and sexual health is available from trained nurses and doctors. We offer the following types of contraception at the surgery:

  • Oral contraception (the pill)

  • Intra-uterine device (IUD) and implants (fitted by a GP)

  • Diaphragm (barrier method)

  • Injection (depo)

  • Mirena coil

We are also able to refer patients for vasectomy or female sterilisation. To discuss contraception or any sexual health matter, make an appointment with either Margaret Richardson, our nurse specialist, or any of the GPs.

As with all your medical consultations, all discussions about contraception or sexual health will be treated confidentially.
